Player & Team Guide
Master the competitive ecosystem. Learn how to evaluate rules, choose the right division, and ensure fair play.
Choosing Your Skill Division
Entering the correct division is paramount for a positive competitive experience. The Crown Victory catalog highlights multiple skill brackets:
- Open Qualifier: Ideal for newly formed rosters testing their synergy. Be prepared for highly varied matchups.
- Amateur: Restricted to players without current professional contracts. Perfect for dedicated, practicing squads.
- Pro-Am: A high-pressure environment where rising amateur talent directly challenges invited semi-pro rosters.
Rules & Workload Clarity
Before submitting a team registration, the captain must thoroughly read the official rulebook provided by the organizer. Pay specific attention to:
- Roster Locks: When is the final deadline to add a substitute player?
- Pause Rules: How much tactical or technical pause time is permitted per map?
- Default Times: If the opposing team is late, how many minutes until a forfeit win is awarded?
Understanding Prize-Pool Transparency
We pride ourselves on listing tournaments with fully transparent, sponsor-funded prize pools. A high total pool (e.g., £10,000) is often divided among the top 4 or top 8 teams. Always verify the payout schedule. Crown Victory strictly prohibits tournaments that require players to gamble or wager virtual currency for a chance to win. All listed events are 100% skill-based.
Questions to Ask Organizers
When you contact an organizer through our directory, we recommend asking:
- Are the tournament admins available on live comms (e.g., Discord) during all active match hours?
- What is the specific anti-cheat client required for online qualifiers?
- If the event has a hybrid LAN final, are travel stipends provided, or must teams fund their own transit?
